The squat, elongated residential building rises to the southwest from the terrain of the Pfannenstiel chain towards Lake Zurich. Due to its compact shape, the building fits precisely into the neighborhood.

With its three floors on a plot of land that is thus very well utilized, and with high design and construction quality, it makes a contribution to sustainability in the neighborhood. Due to the terrain situation, the access in the longitudinal axis takes place via a central core on the slope side. This situation is used in such a way that functional layers such as bathrooms, dressing rooms and reduits are integrated into the landscape via skylights.

This frees up valuable space for family rooms on the south side, which is separated from the more pragmatic room program by the arrangement of the bedrooms. To the outside, the program is reflected through a graded window pattern, the more private is given more discreet openings while the family rooms generously invite into the landscape.

The windows are framed in a light smooth plaster along with the cantilevered living rooms above the terrain, while the rest of the facade is stretched between them in a rough vertical plaster that gives the building a mineral expression.
